Hi and welcome to Hawthorn class!  I am Mrs Darnell and I am the class teacher for Hawthorn. We have the wonderful support of Mrs Cahill as our class TA, aswell as that of Mrs Jones a couple of mornings a week, and Miss Milne who teaches PE.  They all do a wonderful job and the children are very lucky.

I have been teaching at Maple Tree for 13 years now and I am excited to have my first year 4 class. I am the lower key stage two team leader, subject leader for science and I run the Eco-Warriors committee. 

Here you will find information on the day to day running of the class, aswell as a topic grid to give you an overview of our terms learning. You will see that PE is on  a Friday and we ask that children come to school in their PE kits (navy short, yellow t-shirt, navy/black jumper and joggers and trainers)  on that day.
